The Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 27 fixture between Sunshine Stars and Rivers United has been postponed, DAILY POST reports.
The match was scheduled to hold Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Akure Township Stadium.
The encounter has been postponed to a date yet to be announced by the NPFL.
According to reports the game was postponed due to Rivers United’s continental engagement.
“Our Sunday’s Match Day 27 fixture with Rivers United has been postponed due to the Pride of Rivers’ continental engagement,” Sunshine Stars wrote on their X handle.
“A new date for the tie will be communicated in due course.”
Rivers United will face USM Algiers in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final tie next weekend.
