The Niger Delta Youth Congress (NDYC) has issued a statement commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s appointment of Dr. Yazid Shehu Danfulani as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC). The organization, led by National Coordinator Comrade Israel Uwejeyan, characterized the appointment as a strategic decision reflecting the President’s commitment to agricultural sector revitalization and food security.
The NDYC’s statement emphasizes the significance of appointing a young leader to head the national institution, describing it as evidence of President Tinubu’s recognition of youth potential in driving economic transformation. His educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Arts and Management from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. The NDYC highlighted his previous positions at the Central Bank of Nigeria and as Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Zamfara State as relevant preparation for leading NAIC.
